Lost At Sea

You want someone to love you Someone to take his place But the only thing you're looking for Is someone with his face I've tried so hard to tell you But my words all come out wrong I've crossed all the T's and I've parted the seas Still he's the one you want Still he's the one you want Why not save it for someone who really loves you Save it for someone to come along Who's all that you need and nothing you want Save it for the next best thing You knew your days were numbered When he took you by the hand You'd be torn from the tree like the smallest of leaves Broken like a grain of sand Broken like a grain of sand Why not save it for someone who really loves you Save it for someone to come along Who's all that you need and nothing you want Save it for the next best thing I tried so hard to tell you But my words don't make a sound They got lost on the breeze like a stone in the sea Knowing that they won't be found Knowing that they won't be found Why not save it for someone who really loves you Save it for someone to come along Who's all that you need and nothing you want Save it for the next best thing

The Robin 02:52
I am waiting in the garden As the sun begins to rise To hear the robin sing the blues Bring me all the latest news From far across the sky Crow is calling in the distance The wren is whistling by my side I hear the hissing from the trees As the wind blows through the leaves I'm running out of time Nightingale might try to fool me But I've heard the joke before Jackdaw doesn't take requests He sticks to what he knows the best He doesn't need applause Magpie tries to steal the spotlight But he doesn't know the tune Hummingbirds can't hit the notes The ones that really hurt the most The robin brings me back to you And if that bird don't sing I will wait again for what tomorrow brings I am waiting in the garden For that robin to arrive The morning light will pretty soon Drift into the afternoon And then will come the night Then will come the night How will I survive

Lost At Sea 02:24
I'm a lover lost at sea I need the waves to carry me To a place I knew before A long, lost forgotten shore I can feel the ocean breathe The waters rise and fall beneath Dragging me away from home To a darkness down below I can hear the sirens sing 'Batten down the hatches the storm is setting in' Overboard and castaway A prison made of foam and spray I learned the ropes and I tied a noose There's no one here to cut me loose I can hear the sirens sing Batten down the hatches the storm is setting in I'm a lover lost at sea I need you here to rescue me Come to me and take my hand Lead safely to dry land

When Sunday comes and I roll away that stone Will you be here or will I find myself alone Will you believe in me or will you doubt my word When Sunday comes will you belong to me When darkness falls and light has hit the road The sun is gone and you're left out in the cold Will you call my name or will you pass me by When darkness falls will you belong to me When Sunday comes and I roll away that stone Will you be here or will I find myself alone Will you believe in me or will you doubt my word When Sunday comes will you belong to me will you belong to me

Don't take the poison when the water's safe to drink Don't let your eyes close you might miss it if you blink Don't take the fall when you know you should be standing tall Don't waste your whole life feeling blue Don't burn the letter when there's more you have to read Don't learn your lessons from the ones who cannot teach Don't get left behind when you're staring at the finish line Don't waste your whole life feeling blue Forget your umbrella, the weather's much better than you think Forget tomorrow, you'll see your sorrow start to shrink Don't point the finger when there's dirt beneath your nail Don't let your future run your dreams right off the rail Don't play the fool when there's so much more that you can do Don't waste your whole life feeling blue Don't pick the lock when you've got keys to fit the door Don't keep your mind on all those things you had before Don't break your heart when you can tear somebody else's world apart Don't waste your whole life feeling blue I won't waste my whole life over you
